CLAVAM 625 : 

               

                           It is an antibiotic that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria . It is generally made up of two components which are -  1/ AMOXICILLIN (500MG) , 2/ POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE (125MG) . It is named Clavam 625 for these two power additions and the above components. 

                what is Amoxicillin?

                         Amoxicillin is a penicillin group antibiotic. It has strong antibacterial activity, that is it penetrates the cell wall of bacteria and kills bacteria.

                 What is potassium clavulanate?

                             The bacteria that amoxicillin is fighting produce an enzyme called betalactomas enzyme, which destroys the effectiveness of amoxicillin, For this reason potassium clavulanate is used, which requires these enzymes.

                               For this reason, Amoxicillin and potassium clavulanate are used in Clavam 625, so that it can work properly in the patient's body.

 

In which disease it is used : 

                      Clavam 625 tablet is used for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria such as sinus infection, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, bone, tooth and joint infections. Also any type of ear infection like pus accumulation in the ear, it causes pain ,This disease is called otitis media.

 EATING RULES :   Usually doctors prescribe it 2 times a day in the morning and at the night after eating food, but for smear infection it is given 1 time. 

 SIDE EFFECT : It have some side effect. it main side effect is loose motion or diarrhoea. overeating can cause loose motion 3 or 4 times a day.  Also side effects like dizziness, acidity, indigestion, dyspepsia etc can be seen. Nausea also occur.
